Liu, Kanas (廖潔雯)

Born in Hong Kong in 1986, Kanas Liu is an independent filmmaker. She studied Cultural Sciences at Lingnan University and produced two documentaries about the Umbrella Movement in 2014: Van Drivers and Van Drivers 2. Her co-directed 2019 documentary Not One Less records the August 31 clashes on Hong Kong Island and the Mid-Autumn festival assembly supporting protestors in custody. Her second short film about the Anti-Extradition Bill Movement, Comrades, was screened as part of Generation 14plus at the 2020 Berlinale Film Festival.
