Chan Szeto, JuJu – Biography
JuJu Chan Szeto (Juliana Chan Szeto Yuk-wan) is a highly celebrated Hong Kong and Los Angeles-based martial arts actress, singer, beauty queen and author. She is Hong Kong’s only female martial artist who has mastered the double nunchuck, and is often referred to as the new Michelle Yeoh or Bruce Lee in local media. She was born in Hong Kong but grew up in the United States, eventually graduating from NYU Tisch’s School of Film/TV, before coming back to Hong Kong to further her career in the entertainment industry. She represented Hong Kong in the 2013 Taekwondo World Championship in Bulgaria as part of the Hong Kong Taekwondo (ITF) national team. She was also the 2013 China Open (ITF) Champion in Female Black Belt Pattern, and came third in the Female Black Belt Sparring category that same year. JuJu is the 2014 winner of the 46KG category at the WMC The One Legend Thai Boxing Championship (Hong Kong). She is also a published Hong Kong writer who authored the inspirational book To Live A Beautiful Life, and the best-selling instruction manual Food and Ordering at a Restaurant. She played the lead role of Meili in Fist Of The Dragon (2014), directed by Antony Szeto, for which JuJu was also associate producer. Her next film is Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, in which she plays a lead supporting role as Silver Dart Shi. The film was released in 2016.
