Lilian Lee is a Hong Kong writer and screenwriter. She is a prolific and well-known novelist, though very few of her works have been translated into English. Internationally, she is most recognized as the author of Farewell My Concubine, which she helped adapt for the screen in 1993. She has also collaborated with Hong Kong film director Fruit Chan on several screenplays, including Dumplings (2004), Tales from the Dark 1 (2013), and Tales from the Dark 2 (2013).
