HAF 2016 – Call for project submissions!

HAFΒ is Asia’s premier project market designed to connect filmmakers with upcoming film projects with internationally prominent film financiers, producers, film festival delegates and buyers for co-production ventures. Past participants have included a mixture of up-and-coming filmmakers and established directors. For example, Naomi Kawase, Kore-Eda Hirokazu and Yukisada Isao from Japan; Santosh Sivan and Dev Benegal from India; Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Pen-ek Ratanaruang from Thailand; Gu Changwei, Jia Jiangke, and Ning Hao from China; Ann Hui, Pang Ho-Cheung and Peter Chan from Hong Kong; and many others.

HAF will turn into its 14th edition in 2016. It will take place in Hong Kong from 14 to 16 March 2016. From now till 16 October 2015, we are recruiting feature film and documentary project submissions for “HAF 2016 Project”, “HAF/Fox Chinese Film Development Award” and “HAF Script Development Fund” .

Around 25-30 projects will be selected. Directors and producers of the selected projects will be invited to participate in the three-day film financing forum and have the chance to win approximately HK$900,000 (US$115,000) cash or in-kind awards!
